FAMILY DOLLAR HAIRSPRAY

Family dollar is a North American discount dollar store. The goal for this project was to provide the customer an alternative hairspray option.

NEW THINKING ON HAIRSPRAY

The goal was to have this hairspray mimic the look of a similar Tresemme product, but at a more affordable price. This was a fast-paced implementation, and the whole process from design to rollout spanned only two weeks.

CONCEPTS & IDEAS

Before the client had decided that they wanted the design to have a similar look to Tresemme they were open to any ideas for the design. I designed a few options that all stood out on their own and used bright colours and typography to help the product stand out from the competition.

WORKING WITH METAL

The hairspray design was for an aluminum can. So that we could see the colours on the metal substrate, each proof was printed on a flat piece of aluminum. Once the project was complete, it was printed and molded into a can that we see on the shelf.
